Nature & Nurture Activities is a new community group in Burford made up of local volunteers who come together at a local allotment to grow plants, flowers, vegetables and fruit to help the community thrive.

The Planning Inspector has responded to West Oxfordshire District Council on the Area Action Plan (AAP) for Salt Cross Garden Village, paving the way for the plan to be approved and setting the scene for the development to progress.

Carterton pupil, Chester Youd, aged 7, from St John the Evangelist CE Primary School, has won the Council’s competition to design the flag that will start stage six of the Women’s Tour. The race starts at 11am in Chipping Norton on Saturday 11 June 2022. 

West Oxfordshire District Council has opened applications for financial support to those most in need of help with their energy bills. The new scheme is for residents who were not eligible for the recent £150 council tax energy rebate.

A new county-wide programme will support families with children on benefits-related free school meals to access a wide range of low cost and free activities.

The winner and their family will be given VIP access to the start of the race, a signed tour shirt and will also have the honour of waving the flag to start the stage, which starts at Chipping Norton on Saturday 11 June 2022. 

Communities organising celebrations for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee could be eligible for funding support from West Oxfordshire District Council. 

Residents of Chipping Norton will be centre stage at the start of Stage 6 of the Women’s Tour of Britain, as the highest town in the county hosts the start of the last day of the race on Saturday June 11th. The full route details were revealed today.
