West Oxfordshire District Council has responded to the most recent consultation from the developers of the proposed Botley West Solar Farm setting out multiple areas of concern with the proposal.  

Following a recent public consultation, which received an outstanding community response, the District Council is looking to make swift progress with developing the next stages of the plan for the district's future. 

West Oxfordshire District Council is set to improve how it engages young people in Council matters and tackle barriers faced by young people, including isolation, and poor access to the opportunities and services available to them.

Visitors to Witney embraced the magic of Christmas with thousands of local shoppers visiting the Marriotts Walk Christmas market. The market, held on Friday 8 December to Sunday 10 December, saw a wide range of gifts, food, and drink for sale from local suppliers. The market town shopping centre provided the perfect Christmas setting for families and friends to buy gifts for loved ones before the Christmas break.

Residents and visitors to Guildenford car park in Burford and Hensington Road car park in Woodstock are invited to give their views on these car parks, as West Oxfordshire District Council launches its Car Parking Strategy Consultation. The consultation starts on 15 January and ends on 12 February.

In the 12 months, West Oxfordshire District Council (WODC) has worked closely with Thames Water (TW) to make substantial improvements in vital areas such as sewage treatment, infiltration and pipe networks, planning processes, and communication.
