West Oxfordshire District Council launches new website
The new site has been launched today (Wednesday) making it easier than ever for residents and businesses to access information and services.
The new site, which is based on the design used by central government’s ‘gov.uk’ website is still accessible via the same web address (www.westoxon.gov.uk) but has a completely new look. It also brings added benefits including:
- New and easier to read content
- Improved ways to pay for, report or request council services Easier to navigate menus, with the Councils most-used services top of the list
- Fully optimised for use on smartphones, tablets and desktop computers
- Improved accessibility, ensuring people of all ages and needs can navigate the pages they need to
Discussing the new website, Leader of the Council, Cllr James Mills, said: “The Council website is a vital resource for us to communicate with our residents and businesses and for them to access the services we provide. Our team have worked hard to ensure this new website makes it as easy as possible to use our website and on various devices. We hope that people agree that the site is now befitting of a 21 st Century West Oxfordshire.” The Council will continue to review and update content on the new website and release more new pages in the coming months
