Dive into summer at Woodstock Open Air Pool!
Woodstock Open Air Pool will be reopening on Saturday 24 May until Sunday 31 August, with cool water swimming sessions available in the first 8 weeks, before the pool is heated for a jam-packed summer programme during the school summer holidays.
Cllr Tim Sumner, Executive Member for Leisure and Major Projects, said:
“We know how much people love the open-air pool in Woodstock, and we’re really pleased to be reopening for another season on Saturday 24 May, in time for the late May bank holiday and school half-term break.
"After great feedback and success from last year, we are happy to be re-introducing our cool water swimming to those who enjoy a refreshing swim before the summer heat arrives and fully opening for our usual heated summer schedule.
“It’s a great place for families and individuals to enjoy time outdoors, stay active and socialise. We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back for another year”.
The much-loved outdoor pool is a popular summer spot for families, fitness swimmers and those looking to relax and enjoy the sunshine. When not in the pool or sunbathing on the loungers, visitors can also enjoy a game of badminton or the other ball games on offer at the centre.
Simon Cowdery, General Manager of Woodstock Pool, said:
“It wouldn’t be summer in West Oxfordshire without Woodstock Open Air Pool and this year we’ll be offering all the usual fun-filled activities like swimming, dive sessions, cool water swims and pool parties. Over the summer holidays, Yellow Submarine Charity will also have their on-site café open daily, serving a selection of drinks and light snacks.
"The pool will be open seven days a week, with a mix of general swims, family sessions, and dedicated lanes for fitness swimming. We’re looking forward to the 2025 season!”.
The cool water swim period will run from Saturday 24 May to Tuesday 22 July 2025, and there will be a small selection of hot drinks available for swimmers to enjoy.
The warm water swim period will run from Wednesday 23 July to Sunday 31 August.
Opening times and activity information will be available on the Better UK website. Walk in sessions are available all day every day, but to avoid possible queues or oversubscribed sessions, it is recommended that you book in advance online or via the Better UK app.
