Council meetings set to be streamed online
West Oxfordshire District Council is set to launch its council meetings online.
A meeting of the full Council will be held on 13 May with members ‘attending’ via a dedicated video conferencing facility.
Members of the public will also be able to follow the proceedings through a broadcast on Facebook Live.
Cllr James Mills, Leader of the Council, said: “It is vital for the democratic process that we hold these meetings as soon as possible.
“There may be some technological challenges with potentially 49 councillors trying to attend via video link but I am sure they won’t stand in the way of what will be a very welcome return to the debating chamber.”

Assuming the meeting is conducted successfully, it will be followed by the Lowlands Area Planning Sub-Committee meeting on 26 May.
