Cabinet on Tour Charlbury

Cabinet back on tour in Chipping Norton

West Oxfordshire District Council’s Cabinet is on tour again this month as they take their 16 November cabinet meeting to Town Hall Lower Room, Chipping Norton, to engage residents in their decision making process.

Cabinet meetings, where key decisions are made for the local area, in public, will continue to tour until 2023 to make it easier for people to take part in local democracy and have their say.

Councillor Andy Graham, Leader of the Council said, “We are really pleased with the feedback following the first of our Cabinet on Tour meetings and it's important that we continue to make our residents' local council as accessible as possible.

“The Cabinet meets once a month in public and makes key decisions that affect the whole district as part of the operation of the Council. We want that process to be open, transparent, and easy for local people to get involved and see democracy in action.

“We will be holding Cabinet meetings across West Oxfordshire over the coming months, which we hope will encourage more people to become involved and feel more like we are here to serve them.

“I encourage local people to turn up and be heard when the meetings are in their area. We look forward to seeing people there and will be ready to talk to people about what matters to them. This is your Council.”

The meetings will be held in towns across the district over the coming months with more details available on the Council’s website:
